Day 2 Christchurch.

We spent the day enjoying the company of our hosts, Jonathan and Natasha Cargill. They took us to lunch in the afternoon and Ron spent the rest of the day studying for the service. Which by the way, the Youth Service was the highlight so far. It was amazing. 250 Youth, ages 12 to 25 or so, worshipping, dancing, singing, and praising. Awesome! The worship team was great, complete with a dance team. Then they had the drama group perform which was also awesome, then Ron preached about Jesus, the Man not the Wimp, and the altar was filled with kids accepting Him as Savior and Friend. The music was hot and loud, but not too loud, which makes us not too old, right? We did feel pretty ancient, Ron wasn't wanting to wear his bifocals but since he can't read without them. . . after service the cafe was filled and we finally gave up to go home about 10:30 which is 1:30 a.m. Oregon time. We loved it, and can't wait to have this energy in our own youth service some day. Ron said he needed to take some dance lessons.
