Today we drove downtown to the Arts Centre and walked through the outdoor market, it’s filled with great stuff, live music, and entertainment. We got on the Tram and got off at Clara Jewellery, owned by a beautiful Brazilian girl who attends Celebration Centre in Christchurch. She’s going to take Kate’s wedding hair jewelry and remake it into a beautiful new necklace. Then it was back to the car to head to the mall, but when we arrived we had a message written on the car in an oily substance that said we had an oil leak. So we headed back for the house to check it out, it wasn’t an oil leak but there was a hole in the gas tank that was fixed quickly. Still haven’t gotten to that mall! I spent some time walking with Natasha while Ron studied. Corey & Renee Watkinson and their two sons, Jackson and Micah, picked us up about 3 p.m. and we went for a hike. Yes, I said it, a hike. Ron and I hiked. We went down a mountain for about 30 minutes, knowing full well that we had to come back up. We walked down basically a sheep trail, into a tunnel through the side of the mountain and out at Lyttleton Harbor. We definitely did our 10,000 steps today. Then we went to a Old Western American themed restaurant, the Lone Star. It had saddles and posters and old western television show books. It was great and the food was good too. All in all, a great day. We missed prayer meeting though, but since we were with the pastors I guess we were forgiven. Tomorrow is Sunday. Ron preaches to the leadership group (about 250) at 9 a.m. and then the main service at 11. I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow
